How to find a historical document.
1. Go to the circulation desk at the Swem library and check out the books I’ve placed on reserve.

2. Look for other document collections in Swem
or
3. Use the FirstSearch database.
A. Start from the College Home page. Then go to “libraries,” then to the “Swem Library Home Page”
B. From there go to the menu of “quick database links” and choose “FirstSearch.”
C. enter: european history sources (no capitals or quotation marks)
D. select the database: WorldCat
E. conduct an “advance search” limiting your results to the years 1800-1926 and to books in English.
F. Peruse results and order interesting looking titles via Inter-Library
Loan.
